// When Completed June 2018

// Where “Water” exhibit at the Children’s Museum of Denver

// Why To provide guests with a more zen-like experience within the exhibit while demonstrating the concept of water pressure

// How Since I was not part of the design phase for this project the greatest challenge was creating something based off of hand sketches and Adobe Illustrator renderings. There was a lot of collaboration between myself and the designer that was necessary to fully understand the idea. By creating a detailed 3D model, I was able to show the designer the various elements in 3 dimensions and manipulate things where needed. The fabrication required some prototyping and figuring out how to integrate the off-the-shelf parts (the fish sculpture, bamboo, pinwheel, drain bowl) into the custom built parts. Although the design appears delicate and airy, the mostly 316 stainless steel construction and large base provide plenty of support and rigidity to the structure.
